ILLUSTRATOR VIDEOS
I would say that the paint brush tool can be complicated but also simple. I believe that having the right tools to use Illustrator tools can make all of the different. Things like a work pad to sketch with can make a huge difference in how the paint brush tool can work. The importance to keep in mind is that the paint brush tool has many different uses. It can be large or small, thin or thick, complex or simple textures, etc. It can truly do so many things; I find that to be difficult but also easy. I think that if a tool has many deviations then it can be some what easier to work with then something that has few deviations to utilize. I think that overtime with experience I will find this tool to be extremely useful; however, I could see why a tool like this would be intimidating.
The shape builder tool seems to be one of the easiest tools to use in Illustrator. It seems to be one of the most straight forward tools to use. I noted the different options within that tool, however in comparison, the tool is definitely easier than the paint tool. It can be uses to create many different basic or symmetrical shapes. You can also change the settings to make more pointed shapes like stars, triangles, etc. I find a tool like this that uses math or geometry to be easy to work with. I tried playing around this this tool to see how it works. I think that this has to be one of the easiest tools in my opinion. I think that this will time save, as well.
The select tool seems to be the best tool to keep close to you will using Illustrator. It seems to work hand-in-hand with all of the other tools. This is what you use to move everything around, copy, select an element or a group, resize, reshape, etc. I find this tool to be the absolute easiest one to work with. It seems to be fairly easy to work with along with its parent tool (direct select tool). Both tools are uses to make adjustments in a design or whatever it is you are working with. I find that this tool must be by far the easiest one to work with. After playing around, I found this is the the tool you utilize the most. I can not imagine that this is any other tool to that smoothly and easily.
